According to a recent survey, a lot in terms of better preparedness for both learning and social development.
Primarily, full-day benefits are due to a greater ability to explore various learning domains in 7 hours rather than just 3 or 4 hours. And, while full-day vs. half-day students don’t show a marked difference in literacy and cognition, children can benefit from enhanced social interaction and other skills they otherwise wouldn’t develop (or at least not this early).
