What is School Age Care and Why Does it Matter?Posted on May 15, 2015 by Michelle Kraus
School age care is a general term that that refers to programs that operate before and after school as well as during summer and holiday breaks. However, the benefits of such care are anything but general.
In fact, school age care offers specific benefits like giving children the ability to make friends, develop relationships with adults serving as role models, while also building self-esteem and learning conflict resolution skills.
Of course, not all school age care programs are created equally. Many differ according to the type of care being provided as this type of care can refer to anything from licensed to unlicensed (or recreational) care operated by local parks or recreational departments.
In any case, school age care is a wonderful way for your little ones to develop critical skills that aid in their physical, mental, and emotional health! And at Ladybug Child Care Center, we couldn’t agree more.
That’s why we offer school age care to your “little bug” to ensure they have the skills they need as they grow and develop! Be sure to check out our program to see if it’s the right fit for your child!
