National Early Childhood Program Accreditation Means More Than You Think

However, it’s not that simple. In fact, some accreditation matter much more than others. For example, the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation is important because it is actually difficult to meet the criteria set forth for the honor.
Programs that have been awarded this accreditation have gone through a rigorous process that includes:
- Teacher assessment as to whether or not their program meets the standards set forth by the NECPA
- Development of a plan of compliance should there be shortcomings in a program
- Verification by experts to ensure that all self-reported met standards have actually been met
- Individual Council member review for accreditation
