August 2021 Update: Staying Safe & Having FunPosted on August 4, 2021 by Ladybug Child Care Center
We hate COVID. That’s not a shocker, but it needed to be said. This disease needs to go, but unfortunately, cases seem to be on the rise again in Minnesota.
Organizations and retail stores are starting to require masks again and even the State Fair could have mask conditions this year.
As much as we’d like to operate “business as usual”, we need to keep the wellbeing of our Ladybug family at heart.
While we’re still allowing parents inside our buildings, we’re continuing to require masks to be worn and will proceed with health screenings and social distancing expectations.
When it comes to life outside of Ladybug, we can’t control how everyone handles these challenges. Ultimately, you have to do what you feel is right for your family and approach each situation the way you think is best.
But if you’re looking for some friendly suggestions, we have a few:
- Consider wearing a mask when out and about, even if you are vaccinated. With county fairs and The Minnesota State Fair coming soon, wearing a mask can help you avoid getting sick or spreading the virus to large crowds of people.
- Keep gatherings and parties outdoors whenever possible. This should be easier now that the weather is starting to cool down a bit and, hopefully, this wildfire smog will be clearing soon!
Fortunately, Minnesota isn’t returning to a full lockdown at this time. If we work together, we could help avoid it happening again.
There is plenty of fun to be had with the remaining weeks of summer and we hope that we can welcome the school year with all our Ladybug families happy and healthy.
