Infant Nursery Room and Playroom
Miss Anne, Shakopee Playroom Teacher
“I’m Miss Anne and I am a teacher in the Infant department. I have been a part of the Ladybug Family for 12 years and I am looking forward to many more years to come. I have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and am looking forward to continuing that education in the future.
At home, I have three children of my own and can truly say that I love every minute of my day because every part of it is spent with children. It has always been a dream of mine to be surrounded by children and by being a part of this family I have accomplished that dream. It is truly a gift to be a part of your child’s day and I enjoy every minute of it.”
Miss Bryanna, Shakopee Nursery Teacher
“Hi, I am Miss Bryanna! I have been working with children for just a little over 6 years and have loved every minute of it! I have been working at Ladybug for almost two years. When I started, I was the aide in the Infant department and have now taken the Nursery teaching position.
For a semester I went to North Carolina to a school called Pfeiffer University to study nursing, but I missed Minnesota and my Ladybug family, so I made the decision to move back home. I will be pursuing my early childhood education certificate from Rasmussen College over the next two semesters.
When I am not at Ladybug you can find me hanging out with my little sister who is a Proddler here at Ladybug or curled up on the couch watching the newest Netflix series. I am looking forward to learning about and loving each one of my ‘little bugs’. “
Miss Lauren, Shakopee Nursery Teacher
“Hey, I am Miss Lauren. I am 22 years old and have always loved working with children. Starting at the age of 10 I was a nanny for a wonderful family. The youngest boy will be turning 13 this year, and it has been such a joy watching him grow up. For two years I attended Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, studying psychology and the growth and development of the human body. This was such an incredible journey, and one I will not soon forget. I eventually made the choice to move back to Minnesota to be with my family.
Currently, I am the teacher of the Infant Department. I have worked at Ladybug for about two years now, and I am absolutely loving it. My mom and sister are both teachers as well so I guess you could say it’s in my genes. When I am not working with the little bugs you can find me anywhere outside in the summertime. In the winter I am more of a homebody. I am thrilled to be a part of your little bug’s journey through their time at Ladybug, and I am always here to help.”
Toddler Rooms – Toddler A, Toddler B, and Proddler
Miss Briana, Shakopee Proddler A Teacher
“My name is Briana Serrano and I am the Proddler A Teacher. I graduated college in September of 2020 with an ECE Certificate, I start school again in February for my ECE Associates! I have been employed at Lady Bug for two years, before that I have worked at one other child care for a few months. I love it here at Lady Bug and working with all the little bugs. I am a mom of two girls, my oldest is 5 and my youngest is 2. I enjoy going to the gym when I have some time to myself. I like taking my girls to the zoo in the summer and we enjoy sledding in the cold winters!”
Miss Nicole, Shakopee Proddler B Teacher
“My name is Miss Nicole and I have a certificate in Early Childhood Education, I have worked in childcare for almost 9 years now with a variety of age groups. I started working with infants and have since moved my way up to the three-year-old group. I was with Ladybug at their Chaska location for four and a half years when I left to pursue an infant teaching position at another center. I worked there for almost two years before returning to my Ladybug family! I have now been back for almost three years working in the toddler department.
I am also a mother of two. I have Dakota who started Kindergarten this year, and Charlie who is 3 months old. We live with my Fiancé in Cologne on our little family farm with our dogs and horses. A few of my hobbies are being outside with my family running with the animals, shopping and doing crafts with my daughter.”
Miss Maggie, Shakopee Toddler Teacher
“Hi, I am Miss Maggie!
I attended Rasmussen College University and completed my Early Childhood Development Certificate. My mother was also an in-home daycare provider for 18 years so I have been blessed with the opportunity to work at a center as well as an in-home daycare and work with a variety of children of different ages.
I have worked at Ladybug in Shakopee for almost as long as they have been open! I was an aide for about a year so, I have had the opportunity to work in every department and age group! But, Toddlers is where I wanted to stay. Once I completed school I became the Toddler B teacher and have been in this position for two years.
My husband and I have a wild, energetic four-year-old son, Michelangelo that attends Ladybug during the day. In our free time, we like to play outside, build car tracks and do art! We are classic car fans, so when summer comes around, we love to spend time at car shows and picnics with our family and friends!”
Preschool Room
Miss Ashley – Shakopee Preschool Teacher
I’m Miss Ashley and I’ve been in childcare for about 4 years. It all started when I had my first child. I wanted him to be in daycare, but I couldn’t stand leaving him. So, for a short time, I worked at a different center as a preschool teacher sub with my son in the infant room. While working there I realized how much I really wanted to teach preschool. So I started school! Then, when a good friend (Miss Nicole) told me about Ladybug, I had to check it out! And I have been the Shakopee preschool teacher since!
Teaching preschool has been so much more than I could have imagined. I have an amazing group of kids that I get to be with every day and help them learn and discover all the cool things this world has to offer! (even I keep learning new things)

I have been with Ladybug for a little bit over a year and a half. I love building relationships with the kids and seeing them grow and develop! Outside of work, I enjoy working out, doing yoga, watching Netflix, and reading. I also love spending time with my family, especially my three nephews!”
