4 Ways to Have a Fun Family Halloween During COVIDPosted on September 24, 2020 by Ladybug Child Care Center
Despite COVID-19’s best efforts, we’re not giving up on Halloween. Even if some traditions are on hiatus, the little bugs can still dress up in costumes, eat candy, and have a great time!
If you want your kids to have a fun Halloween this year, here are some delightful ideas for the season.
- Paint pumpkins (Carving works, too, but probably won’t be as interactive as painting)
- Replace normal lightbulbs with purple and orange ones
- Place some corn husk decor and autumn-colored plants around the house
Some little ones have fun with the spooky theme of Halloween, but others might not like it yet. if that’s the case for your little ones, here are some non-scary Halloween decoration ideas.
We hunt for eggs on Easter, but on Halloween, we hunt for candy! Halloween is one of those weird holidays where the weather could be 70 degrees or it could be cold and snowy.
If the temperature is nice, have the scavenger hunt outside and enjoy the leaves! Otherwise, there are plenty of great candy-hiding places inside the house.
Family Halloween Movie Night
Netflix has Halloween movies suitable for toddlers, elementary school students, and all other ages. Build a blanket and pillow fort and enjoy a night of fun snacks and family-friendly Halloween movies!
Apple Orchards and Hayrides
You and your little ones can experience the beautiful autumn weather by exploring the orchards, picking apples, and going on hayrides. These places adhere to social distancing and mask protocols to ensure the safety of your family.
