3 Ways To Have A Fun Thanksgiving With Your Kids
Posted on November 7, 2019 by Ladybug Child Care CenterGobble, gobble! Can you believe it’s already November? We all get very busy this time of the year, so it always seems to go by quickly.
Sometimes we can get so focused on the holiday season that we forget to enjoy Thanksgiving. Here are a few ways to have fun with Thanksgiving:
Thanksgiving Treats
Sweet tooths, rejoice! This time of the year is made for you. Pies are a big part of Thanksgiving, but here are some other tasty snacks to enjoy leading the big day:
- Pumpkin bars (Gluten-free recipe and allergy-friendly recipe).
- Pumpkin pudding (Allergy-friendly recipe).
- Candy corn mixed with peanuts.
- Turkey-shaped Rice Krispie treats. It can be something you make with your own imagination or with inspiration from a recipe like this.
Craft Turkeys
We all know about hand turkeys, but a nice twist on it is to have your little one put something they’re thankful for on each finger. Or draw a turkey on a piece of construction paper and glue craft feathers on it.
Cornucopia Of Thanks
Thankfulness is the main point of the holiday, and this craft is a fun way to help instill that value. You and your little bug can make a cornucopia out of construction paper or print out this one and color it in!
You can help your kiddo write something they’re thankful for in each piece of food. This is a cute way to enjoy the holiday while also teaching appreciation.
